About Me
My upbringing as an inside out Oreo (Mixed race), gave me the
priviledge to see the world from an unconcious bias (being half black,
half white). I discovered an outlet to express views through Graphic
Design, & got my diploma at the University of Johannesburg.
My desire to learn more & challenge my skills led to my enrollment at
the New York Film Academy, where I did a short coarse in
Music Videos. This chapter in my life taught me about Film Production,
starting from Pre-Prod, Directing, set life & all the way to
Post-Production. My interest in creating meaning & telling stories
inevitably landed me in Video Editing. Since my background started in
Graphic Design, it only made sense to fuse the two & later developed
my skills as a Motion Designer.
I have been freelancing for over 7 years, and now I operate as a
company called Black IN White Studios. My personal interests in
Music and Televison translated into the type of clients I later got
to work with. It has been a fulfilling journey & I look
forward to more collaborations with Brands, Broadcasters, Producers,
Agencies, Digital Platforms, Record labels etc.
This pandemic has been an eye opener for most of us & we cant deny
how powerful the medium of motion picture has improved.
Looking forward to creating more engaging visuals & stories to be told
long after us.
